Your business, Receptionist, Tools, After the call, and Phone and website all have Talk as the boss and Try as a customer beside them, so you can change something and test it right away. On a phone they're at the bottom of the page, and the link above the page jumps there.

SectionWhat's there
Your numberYour Maggie number, your plan, minutes used in the free month, where summaries go, and the billing buttons.
Your mobileThe phone Maggie knows as yours. Calls from it get you instead of the receptionist. Add, change, or remove it here. We don't text it.
Owner PINThe PIN for calls where your phone company doesn't vouch for your number.
Weekly emailWhether you get last week's calls in an email on Monday morning. It's on until you untick it, and a week with no calls sends nothing.
CallbacksCallers who left a message in the last 30 days and are waiting to hear back: who, their number (tap it to call), what they need, and when. Check one off once you've called. Uncheck it, or press Undo, if you checked the wrong one. Show done lists the ones you've checked off. Sales calls and hang-ups never show up here.
This weekHow many calls came in this week. Press it to open Insights.
CallsEvery call, newest first. Hide sales, spam and hang-ups is ticked to start with, so calls sorted as Sales & spam or Hung up stay out of the list. Untick it to see them. If a real call was sorted as spam, open it from Insights or with the box unticked, and change what it was about. This browser remembers your choice.

Your business

SectionWhat's there
Your businessYour business details as a form, and Refresh from website.
Your directoryThe people callers can be put through to: a name, a role, the number to ring, an extension (or the keys to press) for someone behind an office phone system, and If no answer, try, the person to ring next when they don't pick up. Your main line alone, or your Maggie number, is refused, since a transfer there would come right back.

Each of these has its own save button. Leaving the tab with changes you haven't saved asks first.

Receptionist

Press Save at the top after any change. Receptionist, Tools, After the call, and Phone and website share that button, so you can move between those four and save everything at once. Leaving them for another tab with changes you haven't saved asks first.

SectionWhat you can change
What it saysName, greeting, instructions, what it knows, timezone.
VoiceHow it sounds, and how it takes turns with a caller.
Ending and transferringWhen to hang up, and a number to transfer to and when.
LimitsThe longest call, and what it says when time runs out.

Tools

Services your receptionist can use on a call: MCP servers you sign in to or give a key, and webhook tools. See Connect a tool.

After the call

Where summaries go, the details pulled out of each call, and other notifications.

Texts is where you pick who on your team gets a text about a call, and what kinds of calls are theirs. Each person shows as Waiting for YES, Active, or Opted out. Changes here save right away, without the Save button, because adding someone sends them a text. See Text your team about calls.

Phone and website

Your number, the website snippet, the full-page link, and the button's look.

Insights

Insights shows how your calls are going: how many came in, how long they talked, what callers wanted, when they call, and what your receptionist took down. Press a kind of call, like Emergencies, to see those calls. The meter shows what's left of your free month. Called back counts the messages you checked off under Callbacks.

It didn't know lists what callers asked in the last 30 days that your receptionist didn't have an answer for, newest first, in the caller's own words. Each one links to its call. Press Add the answer and Your business opens with the question at the end of Common questions. Type the answer after it and save, and your receptionist knows it from the next call on.

Suggestions

The speech-bubble button at the top opens a short form. Send us an idea, something that's off, or a kind word. Your notes are listed under the form, with where each one stands.

The account menu

The icon at the top right has Home, Insights, How to forward your line, Help (these pages), Send us a suggestion, and Sign out.
